Keep Austin Playing! Was a Blast! Drawing Winners to be Announced Soon

Keep Austin Playing! truly showed that martial arts is for everyone. The crowd was huge and very diverse, and they LOVED participating in the Bell Sport Karate booth activities and watching the Fight Team spar and perform katas. We heard lots of “oohs” and “aahs.” The Fight Team members did a great job of interacting with the crowd and teaching them bo strikes and how to break boards. RJ DeLaRosa was our MVP–he worked the entire event and probably did his forms at least 50 times!

Not only did the crowd love the activities, but dozens of them entered our drawing for 3 months of free classes. In fact, there were so many that I will be drawing 2 names instead of just one. I will announce the winners in the next few days, so watch this space.File Jul 15, 12 38 49 PM 2

Some favorite moments:

The tiny little guy, who, when invited to kick the kicking shield, gently gave it a kiss. I guess he misheard me, but it was such a sweet and funny moment.

Teaching Miss Austin Texas USA, Thekla McCarty, and Miss Austin Texas Teen USA, Victoria Garcia how to break boards. They left their own booth to visit us, and were very enthusiastic.

Thanks to Chris Irwin and Spice of Life for the opportunity to participate in Keep Austin Playing! 2016. We will definitely be back next year.
